Botox and Dysport
Botox cosmetic (onabotulinumtoxinA ) and Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA) are similar treatments both FDA approved to improve the appearance of deep facial wrinkles. Botox is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures worldwide with over 10 Million patients having been treated.
The procedure involves injecting a small amount of solution into the facial wrinkles. This causes the muscles to temporarily relax and with less movement the skin surface gradually smoothes out, and the lines begin to fade.
The most commonly treated areas are the frown lines between the eyebrows (glabeller lines), horizontal forehead creases and crow’s feet around the eyes. You can expect seeing results in about 3-5 days, with peak results in 7-10 days. The net effect can last up to 3 to 6 months.
Dr Jazayeri has extensive knowledge in facial cosmetic injections and was trained by one of the leading Botox cosmetic dermatologist trainers. Dr Jazayeri himself is a former Botox instructor at the National Laser Institute where he trained other doctors and nurses.

Juvederm and Restylane
Juvederm and Restylane are FDA approved dermal fillers that help improve facial wrinkles. They are both made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in all human cells including the skin cells.
Over time we lose volume in our face so Juvederm and Restylane work by adding extra volume to smooth away wrinkles. Both products are biocompatible with the human body, and are eventually broken down naturally by the body. Results are seen immediately and can last over 6 months.
Dr Jazayeri has extensive experience with the fillers and as a former instructor in one of the leading Cosmetic Schools in Arizona he has trained other Physicians in filler injections.

Radiesse is an FDA approved dermal volumizing filler made up of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), a biocompatible substance that’s identical to what’s naturally found in the body for the correction of moderate to severe facial winkles. Radiesse is mostly used to improve folds of the smile lines, but it is also being used elsewhere in the face such as corners of the mouth, chin wrinkles, pre-jowl, cheeks and marionette lines. Radiesse instantly restores facial volume to smooth out signs of aging and is one of the few dermal fillers that actually works with your body by stimulating the production of your own natural collagen. Results are seen immediately and can last over 12 months.
Sclerotherapy is a procedure that involves the injection of a solution into unwanted blood vessels. This will reduce or eliminate the unsightly veins that usually occur on legs, feet or ankles.
During your visit a concentrated saline solution mixed with a numbing solution is injected into the unwanted veins which will then be absorbed by the body over a period of a few weeks to months. The result is smoother legs with fewer unwanted veins. Fortunately, these superficial veins are not necessary for the health of the surrounding skin.
At Payson Dermatology we specialize in treating the spider vessels of the legs. These are smaller veins that generally respond well to sclerotherapy. We recommend that the larger varicose veins be treated by a vascular surgeon specialist as removing these larger vessels can be more extensive.
Sclerotherapy of spider veins is generally considered a relatively safe procedure. However, as with any other procedure, there are rare complications such as discoloration, scaring, blood clots, or infection among others. A full explanation will be provided to you in the consent form and by the doctor during your visit.
Blue light, otherwise known as Blu-U is a FDA approved therapy to treat moderate acne.
If you are one of several million patients suffering from acne and do not wish to use oral antibiotics or are just not happy with your current acne therapy, you should consider this treatment.
Blu-U is not a laser or UV light, but instead is a very safe wavelength of visible light that kills the Propionibacterium acnes, the bacteria that causes acne in your skin. During your visit to our office you will sit in front of the Blu-U machine for less than 17 minutes twice weekly. It typically takes about 6 sessions to see results. Thereafter, you may need one to two sessions a month for maintenance.
